Grants, Fellowships, and Institutes

CSWE houses centers, institutes, and initiatives that strive to strengthen and improve specific areas of social work education through faculty and student training, policy, and research. These resources are designed to develop talent, expand opportunity, and strengthen the profession at every level. 

Programs like the Carl A. Scott Memorial Fund provide targeted financial support to BSW and MSW students who are committed to advancing equity, inclusion, and social justice. As students move deeper into their training, CSWE’s Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) becomes a cornerstone of professional development. MFP equips master’s and doctoral students with financial support, mentorship and professional development–grounded in a mission to expand access to behavioral health services for underserved communities.

Our Center for Diversity and Social & Economic Justice ensures that every investment in students and professionals is aligned with a broader vision of expanding opportunity, advancing equity, and strengthening the social work workforce. 

And through initiatives like the Katherine A. Kendall Institute for International Social Work Education, CSWE extends its impact globally—preparing leaders who can navigate complex, interconnected social challenges across borders.
