The Council on Practice Methods and Specializations serves an advisory role to the Commission on Educational Policy. The Council identifies and responds to issues relevant to the preparation of students in the context of current and emerging social work practice.
Charge from the Commission
The Council on Practice Methods and Specializations shall have the following functions:
- Identify opportunities and challenges drawing from the research and practice contexts for the educational preparation of social work students
- Disseminate promising practices that facilitate program engagement with practitioners
- Facilitate the development of specialized curricula for practice
