Notice of Accreditation Actions: 

 

Accrediting agencies recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) are required to notify the public of the basis for final accreditation decisions. The CSWE Commission on Accreditation (COA) publishes a notice of accreditation actions on its website after each commission meeting. COA meets in February, June, and October each year. 

 

  • COA decisions include an elaboration on the basis for which the decision was made.  
  • Deferrals require additional information requested of the program to inform a COA decision. 
  • Letters of Instruction (LOI) request the site visitor to gather additional information about a program to 
    inform a reaffirmation decision. 

 

The COA took the following actions at its February 2023 meeting regarding the social work programs below. Standards referenced in this report can be reviewed in our accreditation standards linked above.
