CSWE’s Board of Directors (BOD) governs the affairs of the Council and exercises all the powers, rights, and privileges of CSWE, subject to the provisions of law and the organization’s bylaws.
The CSWE BOD is responsible for:
- Annual review and approval of the programs, plans, and budgets of CSWE, and holding all governance and program units accountable for their activities
- Monitoring and reporting annually to the membership on an affirmative action plan
- Approving a schedule of membership dues
- Deciding on adoption of the educational policies developed by the Commission on Educational Policy
- Formulating specific policies necessary for oversight of the affairs of CSWE
- Ordering and adopting organizations priorities
- Receiving and reviewing resolutions passed at annual membership meetings and reporting to the membership on actions taken on resolutions
- Conducting the annual performance review of the President/CEO
- Meeting at least twice a year
